Vision

A Kenya free of street men: To be a beacon of hope and healing, where individuals struggling with addiction find unwavering support and a path toward lasting recovery.

Love extended to Street men and Alcoholics

We work to:

Rescue

Give adult men living in the streets an opportunity to get out of that life, know God and lead transformed lives as decent and productive members of the society.

Shift collective outlook

Remove the stigma associated with these men, and enable society to realize that beneath the dirt and grime that covers them, are men who given a Hand Up can become decent and productive individuals.

How it all begun

Founded in 1996 by the late Bishop Absolom Ndungo, the organization has over the years impacted the lives of hundreds of former street men, most of whom were also alcoholics and drug addicts. The organization, formerly located in Eastleigh currently operates in Ruiru where the residential Rescue & Rehab Centre is located.

GLC is also involved in sensitizing society and helping remove the stigma
associated with these men by working with churches, schools, corporates,
NGOs, individuals and other stakeholders for the benefit of this community.
