A few words about

What We Do

Our Inititive

Driving positive change through community engagement

GLC uses a four step process of Rescue, Rehabilitation, Reconciliation and Reintegration to carry out its work.

Rescue

Street men, often rendered invisible by society, battle a daily struggle for survival. Exposed to the elements, without secure shelter, these men confront numerous hardships including hunger, health issues, addiction and social isolation. It is essential to acknowledge their humanity and extend a helping hand to guide them towards a better life. By recognizing their humanity, addressing underlying causes, providing immediate relief, fostering rehabilitation, and promoting social acceptance, at Greater Life Concern we  extend a lifeline to these WILLING men and help them reclaim their lives

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is a vital step on the path to recovery for individuals struggling with addiction. At Greater Life Concern, we firmly believe that it is only God alone who can make whole and rebuild a persons life. Therefore our primary method of rehabilitation is through the Word of God. Rehabilitation offers a comprehensive and personalized approach to address the physical, psychological, and emotional aspects of addiction. By combining medical treatment, therapy, support systems, skill development and the word of God rehabilitation provides hope and empowerment for addicts to reclaim their lives and build a healthier future.

reconciliation

Family reconciliation in the face of addiction is an ongoing process that requires commitment, understanding, and a willingness to forgive. By acknowledging the challenges and embracing the possibilities of healing, families can foster an environment of love, support, and growth that not only aids the addicted individual’s recovery, but also strengthens the bonds that hold them together.

We help the men reconcile, first with God, their maker and also with their loved ones.

reintegraton

Once rehabilitated and reconciled with loved ones, some of the men leave the center and go to rebuild their lives among their loved ones. The successful reintegration of addicts into society is a collaborative effort that demands empathy, education, and proactive measures. By challenging stereotypes, promoting supportive policies, and fostering a culture of inclusivity, communities can pave the way for individuals in recovery to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society. This journey of reintegration is not just about overcoming addiction, but about creating a more compassionate and resilient society for everyone.
